We run an introductory taiko course one or twice a year. This course teaches the basics of taiko such as stance, technique and using your voice, while learning a simple taiko piece. Graduates of these courses join our regular weekly classes to continue their taiko journey. Register your details below to be notified when the next introductory course is.

The next introductory course will run for 8 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 7pm until 8:30pm, starting Tuesday 30 April to Tuesday 18 June 2024.

Where: Our Dojo at 2B Malvern Road in Onehunga.
Cost: $120.00 pp
These classes will provide you with an opportunity to learn about the basics of taiko, such as drumming technique, stance, movement and using your voice. You will also learn a taiko song and have the chance to perform this piece for your friends and whanau upon graduation at our Dojo.
Following the Introductory Class, you will be invited to join our group and continue your taiko journey in our Tsuchi class which runs on Saturdays afternoons from 3:20pm - 4:50pm.
